Hey Skindelush Babe!
I hope you’re doing well! Today, I want to chat with you about something that comes up all the time in my treatments—hair removal. What’s the “best” way? What’s the proper method? Honestly, if you ask me, the answer is: ALL of them!
I know a lot of estheticians might be surprised to hear me vouch for more than just waxing and laser, but let’s take a moment to be real. Is shaving really that bad? Or could it actually be more about your specific skin type, your shaving technique, or even the products you’re using during and after the process?
Here’s the thing—every form of hair removal has its pros and cons. Shaving is quick and easy but can lead to irritation if done incorrectly. Waxing gives longer-lasting results but may not be ideal for everyone. Laser is incredible for more permanent reduction but requires commitment and isn’t a one-and-done solution.
No matter the method you choose, what really matters is how you care for your skin before, during, and after. That means exfoliating regularly, using hydrating products, and ensuring you're treating any irritation or sensitivity as soon as it happens.
As your trusted esthetician, I’m here to remind you: it’s not about the hair removal method itself—it’s about how you handle your skin between sessions and how you treat your hair as it grows back. You can absolutely switch it up! You might shave one day, wax two weeks later, or even schedule a vajacial in between to ensure your skin stays smooth and healthy throughout the process.
Skin care doesn’t stop when the hair is gone—it’s about maintaining a healthy balance for your skin, no matter how you choose to remove hair. If you’re prone to ingrowns, I’ve got solutions for that. If you’re battling irritation, I can help you calm it. If you just want to glow, we’ve got a treatment for that, too.
As I always tell my patients, I’m an esthetician, not just a waxer. My job is to treat skin, to help it look and feel its best—whether you're waxing, shaving, lasering, sugaring or anything in between. There’s a way to do it all safely and effectively, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
So whatever hair removal method you choose, just know that your skin deserves the best care, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. It’s all about what works for you—and how you treat your skin along the way.
If you have questions or need guidance on which method might be best for your skin, don't hesitate to reach out. I’m always here to help you make informed decisions that leave your skin feeling smooth, healthy, and glowing!
xoxo,
Nalaika
